More than two dozen graduates were honored as part of the 海角社区 spring commencement ceremonies that took place May 9 and 10. The Turris Fidelis Key was presented to two graduating seniors; while 23 students received the Keller Key award.

Waka Flocka Flame, a rapper based in Atlanta, has been tapped as the headliner for this year鈥檚 海角社区 Spring Concert 2025 set for Thursday, April 24, at CB&S Bank Arena. Joining him are Big Yavo and Eli Hannon. Tickets for the public are still available for $35.
The Mane Room Music Festival, set for April 22-24 in the Mane Room, is a three-night music event featuring a songwriting competition, battle of the bands, and a Muscle Shoals song review. Dr. Meghan Merciers, Associate Dean of the 海角社区 School of the Arts in the College of Arts, Sciences and Engineering, has released her second studio album. The recording is also the first publication of Merciers鈥 research on the works of Jewish-American composer Dr. Peter Temko through Onyx Lane Records and distributed by Naxos, made possible in part by funding earned from the George Merida Huckaba Endowed Professorship in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineer in 2023.
